Samsung Galaxy Tab A8

Samsung is coming up with the successor to Galaxy Tab A7 with Samsung Galaxy Tab A8. Evan Blass has posted a leaked render of the slate on his Twitter account which reveals how Tab A8 might look like.

Tab A8 Expected Specs & Geekbench Scores

Tab A8 is expected to carry a display close to 10.5-inch in size with a mid-range Unisoc T618 chip under the hood. This chip will comprise of a pair of Cortex-A75 cores running at a clock speed of 2GHz along with 6 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. This would be clubbed with ARM’S Mali-G52 GPU. It is claimed to have 3GB/4GB RAM variants with 64GB/128GB of internal storage options. On Geekbench, the single-core score for the Wi-Fi model of A8 is 1704 while the LTE model has a score of 1625 and 5285 for single and multi-core respectively. Both Wi-Fi (SM-X200) and Cellular (LTE SM-X205) versions are expected to be unveiled. The SM-X205 model was also seen on Bluetooth SIG which shows it will have Bluetooth v5 connectivity. Tab A8 will reportedly have a 7040mAh battery under the hood. As for the camera, it is said to sport an 8MP by the rear and 5MP on the front. It is also expected to come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with an earphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a quad Dolby Atmos speaker system. The tablet is likely to measure 246.7×161.8×6.9mm. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series

Samsung’s Tab S8 Series is expected to be the next flagship tablet offering by the company which is rumored to launch sometime in early 2022. The latest reports claim that Samsung aims to start the mass production of S8 series tablets by late January 2022. This got confirmed when the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Ross Young stated in a tweet of his that the production of the Galaxy Tab S8+, the Tab S8 Ultra, and the Tab S8 will start in January next year. If this timeline is adhered to, then the company will be all set to launch the line-up by spring 2022.

Galaxy Tab S8 Series Expected Specs

The S8 series of Tabs will have 3 models: Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra, out of which the Tab S8 Ultra would be the flashiest. The reason is its expected specs which include a massive 14.6-inch OLED display with slimmer bezels, 120Hz refresh rate, and support for an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It is likely to house a notch at the top accommodating the front-facing camera. If it comes with a top-notch, then S8 Ultra will be the first tablet to come with this design element. Other specs include up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage capacity. S8 Ultra is expected to pack a 12000mAh battery, dual front-facing camera (8MP wide+5MP ultrawide), 45W fast charging. It will have 5.5mm of thickness and a weight of 650 grams. Galaxy Tab S8+, meanwhile, will reportedly have a 12.4-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, in-screen fingerprint sensor, 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage. It is expected to have an 8MP front-facing camera, 10,090 mAh battery, and 45W fast charging. It could weigh about 575 grams and be 5.7mm in thickness. Finally, the regular Tab S8 is claimed to come with an 11-inch LTPS TFT LCD panel, 120Hz refresh rate, 8MP front camera, 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage. It is expected to pack an 8000mAh battery under the hood with a 45W fast charging feature and a weight of 502 grams. It will be 6.3mm thick. All the 3 models will have a 13MP+5MP dual camera setup on the back, quad speakers, support for Bluetooth enabled S Pen stylus and an optional keyboard accessory. But it remains to be seen if the Galaxy Tab S8 series will come pre-loaded with Android 12L or not.
