In some of the Latin American countries, Netflix has already started testing the add-on payments for password sharing. The price that is being charged in these countries for password sharing is $3. Netflix will apply the password sharing rules via device IDs, account activity, and IP addresses. In a recent development, Netflix also introduced a feature to let subscribers remove log-ins from their account.

Is Netflix all set to make a difference?

Previously, Netflix announced that the streaming platform will monetise accounts that share passwords starting from 2023. Regarding that, there is no public announcement by Netflix. Nonetheless, at the time of announcing its quarterly revenue results, Netflix mentioned that it will start charging accounts that share passwords with extra members starting next year. Apart from the crackdown on the loopholes, Netflix is also making sure that it keeps the audience attracted and hinged to the platform. The main step in that direction is the addition of multiple game titles on the platform. Speculations are that Netflix will add some of the best titles in the upcoming year.
