Elon Musk has previously announced during the Tesla Battery Day event last year that the company will be manufacturing a $25,000 fully autonomous electric car. Now, the same has been reported by Electrek with fresh information. The source explains that Tesla will achieve the said price by employing its new battery cell and battery manufacturing tech. It will be designed in an electric hatchback style. The electric mobility giant is scheduling the production of Model 2 at its Shanghai Gigafactory, China which will also be an export centre for the global market. Tesla is also setting up an R&D hub in China to manufacture Chinese-style electric vehicles for which it has taken new admissions of talents. As of now, Tesla is functioning on the beta version of Full Self-Driving software in the US which will be deployed by the end of September.
